The concept is all about getting closer to the wild, off the beaten track and right into some of the most pristine environments in Africa. Have all the fun and adventure of fly-camping, without the work. Sleep in luxury mobile safari tents with proper flush toilets and a hot bucket-shower, an excellent camp cook and butler. Your spectacular starlit nights will be filled with the quiet sounds of the African bush all around you.

getting around

All road transfers between regional airports, hotels and camps will be arranged. Extra time at the beginning and end of the itinerary allows for any incoming or outgoing flight delays that may occur.

  • Day 1 & 2 – Arrival South Africa – Zimbabwe, Ilala lodge – Victoria Falls
  • Day 3 & 4 – Botswana, Savute under Canvas – Linyanti/Chobe River
  • Day 5 & 6 – Botswana, Nxabega Tented Camp – Okavango Delta
  • Day 7 & 8 – Botswana, Xaranna Okavango Delta Lodge
  • Day 9 – Botswana, Morning Game Drive – Departure South Africa

The accommodation style provided in wilderness camps are Meru or Bedouin style tents complete with en-suite facilities, mosquito proof netting, solar lighting, flush W.C.’s and bucket showers – except on arrival when accommodation will be in a luxury hotel as mentioned on the itinerary.

A visa is normally required to enter Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe and are obtainable upon arrival. The Zimbabwe single-entry Visa cost is currently US$55 per person for Europe, US and some other nationals – please check with the appropriate embassy before you travel. Visas are payable in cash and we recommend you bring exact denominations for the amount. Passports must be valid for least 6 months after date of travel and have at least 3 blank (no endorsements) pages. A new Uni-Visa for the KAZA (Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area) countries is available at US$50 – obtainable on arrival and currently covering Zambia, Zimbabwe and a day-only entry into Botswana. Angola and Namibia will soon be joining the experimental tourist UniVisa scheme.
This safari itinerary depends on local environment and seasons and could be subject to change. Any unavoidable changes to accommodation or activities will be as close a match as possible to the original itinerary.
  • This itinerary travels to Camps/Lodges located in malaria tsetse fly areas.
  • All clients are advised to visit their medical clinic or doctor to obtain prescribed anti-malaria prophylactic tablets.
  • Please ensure that you consult your home physician at least 6 weeks prior to departure on safari to Africa.
  • Zambia is in a yellow fever zone. Vaccination not obligatory but recommended.
  • Southern Africa is an Ebola free Zone and clients can travel anywhere in the region without a worry
