Masai Mara National Park

Masai Mara National Reserve is one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations, located in southwestern Kenya along the border with Tanzania. It is best known for the annual Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move between the Mara and the Serengeti National Park in search of fresh grazing, typically between July and October. The reserve covers about 1,500 square kilometers of savannah and is home to the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), along with cheetahs, giraffes, and hundreds of bird species. Visitors can enjoy guided game drives, hot air balloon safaris, and cultural experiences with the Maasai people, who are known for their distinctive traditions and dress. The climate is generally warm year-round, with a dry season from June to October offering the best wildlife viewing opportunities.
