Luxury Accommodation
The eight tents at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp are stylish and spacious, each featuring two queen sized beds. In addition to the comfortable warm beds, each tent has a huge bathtub that looks straight into the jungle canopy ideal for soaking tired muscles after a day spent observing and meeting gorillas. Observe rare forest species while soaking in the tub, followed by a cocktail on the private viewing deck served by your personal attendant. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest impresses with a truly theatrical landscape, this is a region of volcanoes, jagged valleys, waterfalls, lakes and dramatic mountain ranges. The only accommodation located within the national park, the camp boasts an unrivalled location with exceptional wildlife and birdlife viewing opportunities. Guests can sample delicious fare or enjoy an evening drink in the cosy bar and dining cottage overlooking the rainforest.
Camp Accessibility
Kihihi airstrip is the closest airstrip which is 1 hour and 15 minutes from the camp. The camp can also be reached by game viewing vehicle from Kampala; and there is also an option of a scenic road transfer from Kigali, Rwanda.
Camp’s Quick Safari high-lights
Uganda also has the highest concentration of primates on earth, including the mountain gorilla – now one of the rarest animals on the planet. There are just over 1000 mountain gorillas in the world and since the establishment of the epic Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda as a protected reserve, the population of mountain gorilla has increased from less than 300 individuals to 400 according to the latest census.

Children aged 6 years and over are welcome at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp. Children aged 15 years and younger pay the child rate when sharing with 2 full paying adults – please enquire for more details. In all other circumstances children pay the applicable adult fare. Children aged 15 and younger are required to share with their parents.
