Camp’s Quick Facts
The Sanctuary Olanana luxury safari camp enjoys a prime location on a private stretch concession of Kenya’s Mara River in the wildlife-rich reserve of the Masai Mara at the foot of Oloololo Escarpment on the western-end of Masai Mara Game Reserve where the Great Migration passes through and the camp is accessed by road safari from Nairobi or charter flight from Jomo Kenyatta international airport.
Camp’s Bedrooms, bathrooms and Surrounding
Featuring fourteen well-appointed luxury tents with en-suite bathrooms, guests enjoy great river views and may watch the resident hippos wallowing nearby. The tents provide two double beds with floor to ceiling mosquito netting. Families travelling with children are accommodated in comfort sharing a luxury tent together. Two honeymoon suites, each featuring outdoor showers, are also available. Olanana Camp welcomes children of all ages. The Family Rooms offer two double beds making it possible for the children to share the same room with the parents. Exciting children activities are on offer which includes specialized safari drives as well as a visit to the nearby Masai village. Kids learn how to make and shoot a bow and arrow, how to prepare and deliver a fire, how to build a hut and how to herd cattle.
Camp Accessibility
The flights to Sanctuary Olonana land at the Kichwa Tembo Airstrip where guests meet their guide who transfers them to the camp which takes approximately 15 minutes and easily accessible for only (46)minute flight from Nairobi capital of Kenya or can be accessed by road drive to Mara through the Rift Valley and takes about six hours from the city of Nairobi.
