About This Holiday

The exciting 16 Day Great Camps of Southern Africa Safari takes you to a choice of three out of a possible five countries, depending on your choice.

Our example itinerary below showcases three very different destinations and covers some of the best experiences to be found in southern Africa: The wetlands of the Okavango Delta in Botswana, South Africa’s Kruger National Park and Cape winelands, and Zimbabwe’s tourism greats: the Hwange National Park and the famous Victoria Falls. The itinerary begins and ends in Johannesburg, South Africa where on arrival from your homeland flight (you may first need to overnight in Johannesburg depending on connections) you are met by a representative of AZS and board a regional flight to the mighty Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.

This will be your last glimpse of ‘civilisation’ for a while, as after Victoria Falls, your charter flights carry you away to the wildest of African landscapes on a thrilling adventure safari.

In each country, you can experience the diversity of the local people’s culture and traditions to enrich your safari experience. In the wildlife reserves, game viewing is either in specially designed open safari vehicles, on foot or by traditional ‘mekoro’ canoe. All excursions are led by armed, qualified professional guides.
