The 13 Day Exclusive Southern Africa Explorer Safari showcases three very different countries with contrasting landscapes and african cultures where the lifestyles of bygone era still exist today.

Charter flights between camps using light aircraft makes short of the distances involved, and accommodation is in top-notch classic safari-style luxury camps throughout the trip.

In each country, you can experiencethe diversity of the local people's culture and traditions to enrich your safari experience.

In the wildlife reserves, quality game viewing is either in specially designed open safari vehicles, on foot or by traditional "mekoro" canoe. All excursions are led by armed, qualified professional guides.

Private Safaris

Afrika Zambezi Safaris will only provide a private guide to accompany group bookings on special request. Tailor-made itineraries for 1-4 persons can be created on an exclusive basis, with a personal expert guide from Afrika Zambezi Safaris for the entire trip.

Safari Activities

In national parks, concessions and wildlife reserves, two game viewing activities are included per day, usually morning and evening. Full day activities will include a packed lunch. Optional extras such as ballooning or elephant back rides will be at the client’s expense. The safari will include a visit to an African village and school, offering an insight into the traditional way of life in Africa.

Guest Accommodation

All accommodation is upmarket and varies from grand safari style, to luxury game lodges and 5-star hotels. Accommodation has comfortable beds, mosquito netting, full en-suite facilities with flush toilets, bathrooms with hot and cold running water and sometimes showers that are open to the sun. The spacious under-canvas interiors boast elegant finishes such as Persian rugs and chandeliers.


Most camps and game lodges have a freshwater swimming pool in which to cool off between game drives. Dining and lounge areas feature comfortable furniture and a choice of board games and books and there is usually a well-positioned game viewing deck.

  1. Botswana: the extraordinary Okavango delta wetland swamps, teeming with wildlife, to the fascinating Kalahari Desert.
  2. Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools National Park, Hwange National Park and the major tourist attraction, the mighty Victoria Falls on the Zambezi river.
  3. South Africa’s famous Kruger National Park and Cape winelands.
  4. Namibia’s giant sand dunes at Sossuvlei and the vast Etosha National Park covering Mudumu National Park.
  5. Zambia’s wild South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Kafue National Parks.

Important Notice

Health And Safety

  1. This itinerary travels to Camps/Lodges located in malaria tsetse fly areas.
  2. All clients are advised to visit their medical clinic or doctor to obtain prescribed anti-malaria prophylactic tablets.
  3. Please ensure that you consult your home physician at least 6 weeks prior to departure on safari to Africa.
  1. Southern Africa is an Ebola free zone and clients can travel anywhere in the region without a worry.
  2. Zambia is on a yellow fever zoner. Vaccination not obligatory but recommended
